This week, the Repsol Honda Team will head to Honda’s home circuit in Motegi hoping to put behind them last week’s black-flag incident involving championship leader Marc Marquez. Second-place Australian GP finisher Dani Pedrosa, will be hoping to continue his run of success at the , having won there the past two seasons.

What do Marquez and Pedrosa have to say?…

Located amongst the vast natural beauty of the northern Kanto district, Twin Ring Motegi is a major attraction for motorsports fans all year round as it is the venue for the Honda Collection Hall, a museum which houses an illustrious collection of motorcycle, car and racing machines from throughout the ages.

Marquez stated:

Obviously, I’m disappointed after Phillip Island, but these things can happen. The important thing is that once again, we showed we were there for the fight and were competitive. Now we must put it behind us and concentrate on Motegi. Track conditions can vary quite a lot and we will work hard on the set up in terms of the hard acceleration and braking, which is an area we have improved now. We will work hard from the beginning, following our normal program, and push 100 percent to recover after Australia.

Pedrosa stated:

It was a strange race in Australia, but I’m really pleased with my team who did a great job and we took a good second-place. I always look forward to going to Motegi; it’s a big race for Honda and I enjoy the track. It’s the final race of three fly away races and we’re all tired, so it’s important to keep the concentration. The track has a lot of strong braking and accelerating and we must find a good setup for the braking stability and to get good traction out of the corners

Pedrosa has enjoyed three victories (2012, 2011 MotoGP, 2004 250cc), one second-place finish (2005 250cc) and two third-place finishes (2009, 2008 MotoGP). Marquez has also won twice (2012 Moto2, 2010 125cc) and taken a second-place finish (20 11 Moto2).
