Pramac Racing’s Andrea Iannone may have qualified 11th on the grid for the Commercial Bank Grand Prix of Qatar but he was the pace setter in Warm-Up at Losail on Sunday evening.

The Italian sophomore was 0.054s quicker than his closest rival (NGM Forward Racing), topping the timesheet with a 1:55.657s lap as night descended on the track ahead of tonight’s racing.

In third place was (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP), with Alvaro Baustista (GO&FUN Honda Gresini) and Valentino Rossi (Movistar Yamaha MotoGP) also in the top five.

The top ten was completed by pole man (Repsol Honda Team), Bradley Smith (Monster Yamaha Tech3), Dani Pedrosa (Repsol Honda Team), Stefan Bradl (LCR Honda MotoGP) and Pol Espargaro (Monster Yamaha Tech3).

(Ducati Team) was 11th and crashed at speed at Turn 2, whilst there was also a crash without consequence for 21st-placed Danilo Petrucci (IodaRacing Project).
