Visor cams are becoming ever more popular in premier motor racing series now, with fans enjoying the surreal driver’s-eye perspective that the cameras provide.

The TUDOR Championship was quick to jump onboard, with Scott Sharp taking the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca in the Extreme Speed Motorsports No. 1 HPD ARX-03b.

Sunday’s race in Monterey may have only lasted 66 laps for the DeltaWing, but the team is looking at the positives from the day.

Despite retiring from the 2-hour TUDOR Championship race with transmission issues, the DeltaWing team was able to display impressive straight-line speed and fuel mileage.

Johannes van Overbeek captured the overall and Prototype class pole for Sunday’s Continental Tire Monterey Grand Prix in his No. 2 Extreme Speed Motorsports HPD ARX-03b, in a thrilling battle with Richard Westbrook for the top spot.

Meanwhile Antonio Garcia took Corvette Racing to its second straight TUDOR United SportsCar Championship pole – after co-driver Jan Magnussen did so in Long Beach – in GT Le Mans.
