Extreme Speed Motorsports has swept the front row at , with Ryan Dalziel flying to pole for Friday’s Brickyard Grand Prix.

The Scot reeled off a best lap of 1:17.603 early in the 15-minute Prototype qualifying session, edging out teammate Johannes van Overbeek in the No. 2 HPD ARX-03b by 0.276 seconds.

There’s been drama in the build up to this afternoon’s Mobil 1 Sportscar Grand Prix at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, as the Chip Gansssi Racing Riley-Ford has suffered a major setback in today’s race due to an accident on the reconnoissance lap.

was at the wheel of the No. 01 Telmex-sponsored DP when he lost control in Turn 2 on a damp circuit and made heavy impact with the barriers.

The Mexican driver was evaluated and released from the infield medical center but the car sustained considerable damage to the front, rear and left side.

NGT Motorsport withdraws from TUDOR Championship

NGT Motorsport announced Tuesday that it has withdrawn from the with immediate effect.

The Florida-based team, which has fielded the MOMO-sponsored No. 30 Porsche 911 GT America in the first five rounds of the championship, will not take part in the remainder of the season except for the Circuit of The Americas race in September.

TUDOR Championship: Brundle Takes OAK Morgan-Nissan to Pole at The Glen

OAK Racing broke through to score its first pole, following a blistering lap set by Alex Brundle in qualifying for Sunday’s Sahlen’s Six Hours of The Glen.

The 23-year-old second-generation driver reeled off an impressive 1:37.902 time in his Morgan-Nissan, outpacing the competition by seven-tenths. He was the only driver to break the 1:37 barrier.

Chris Cumming has secured the Prototype Challenge pole position in qualifying for Saturday’s Grand Prix of Kansas, which featured an abnormal qualifying format compared to most other rounds.

Per the event supplementary regulations, each team’s Silver or Bronze-rated driver qualified, and will race in race one of the two 45-minute segments on Saturday evening. The Gold or Platinum-rated driver takes over for Saturday’s second 45-minute race.
