Under caution on Lap 77 during the Verizon IndyCar Series season-opener at St. Petersburg, a flurry of cars flocked down pit road to get their pit service complete. Staying out on track, however, was Mike Conway, who had missed the radio communication to come in.

Despite this miscommunication and ensuing penalty for pitting on Lap 78 after passing the pace car, the team believes there were many positives to take away from the race.

Coming to the restart on Lap 82 of the 2014 Verizon IndyCar Series season opener at St. Petersburg, Will Power led the field out of the final hairpin to the green flag at a seemingly sluggish pace.

The cars began to accelerate towards the starting line and then all checked up again, resulting in a collision between Jack Hawksworth and Marco Andretti. The question was raised as to whether Power had accelerated and then slowed down again, initiating the carnage. However, after reviewing the replays and telemetry, the stewards could find no fault with Power’s restart.
