Conor Daly has been confirmed at the Lazarus GP2 team for the full 2014 season.
Daly took part in the opening race of the year in Bahrain for the team, but on a one-off basis, after testing extensively in both Abu Dhabi in Bahrain.
GP2 race winner Alexander Rossi will make his Rolex 24 at Daytona debut, having been named Friday as the third driver in the DeltaWing for the TUDOR United SportsCar Championship season-opener.
The 22-year-old California native, who serves as Caterham’s Formula 1 reserve driver, will join Andy Meyrick and Katherine Legge in the closed-top car.
Alexander Rossi powered to his maiden GP2 victory Saturday at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, becoming the first American to score a win in the F1 feeder series.
Rossi, who is trying to become the first American to compete in F1 since Scott Speed in 2007, converted his first career pole into spectacular race form, besting Britain’s Jolyon Palmer and Sweden’s Marcus Ericsson in the 29-lap feature.
