There’s a new coast-to-coast driving record, but it’s not so fast.

A team from Edmunds.com drove a Tesla Model S from the Los Angeles metro area to New York City in 67 hours, 21 minutes, beating Tesla’s own cross-country mark for electric of 76 hours, 5 minutes, set earlier this year.

The F-35 may have just gotten approval to fly, but this one’s designed to stay on the ground.

A Lockheed Martin F-35 Lightning II fighter jet-themed 2015 Ford Mustang GT will be auctioned off on July 31 at the annual Gathering of Eagles charity event held in conjunction with the Experimental Aircraft Association AirVenture show in Oshkosh, Wis.

The 2015 Ford is still a couple of months away from showrooms, but Ford has answered the biggest question surrounding it: How much power does it have?

There are actually three answers, one for each engine.

The big dog 5.0-liter Coyote V8 in the Mustang GT is rated at 435 hp and 400 lb-ft of torque, up 15 hp and 10 lb-ft, while the base car’s 3.7-liter V6 loses 5 hp, for a 300 hp/290 lb-ft rating.

Want to buy an American car? Better get one while they last.

Only 10 vehicles qualified this year for the annual American-Made Index from Cars.com, and just three of them are from domestic brands.

The F-150 pickup took the top spot for the second year in a row, while the Chevrolet Corvette Stingray came in seventh and the Detroit-built SRT Viper rounded out the list in tenth.
